I'm pretty sure this is a very basic question but I didn't find any resources about it...
I have a rigidbody with a mass and velocity attached to a deformable mesh and want to find out the reaction forces on the rigidbody.
Thanks in advance!
You may create a TH request for your RBODY /TH/RBODY in help, in HM right click on TH in browser, Create RBODY, then in card, select your RBODY element and set output variable to DEF (which includes Forces), the values output are FX,FY,FZ, but on reading the T01 in Hypergraph, it also creates resultants for you
Hi Paul,
I am currently postprocessing a T01 file from LSdyna key file. I would like to plot the reaction force for a particular surface on a component (flexible) undergoing an impact. Please let me know if there is a similar approach as above available to plot the reaction forces in hypergraph
I assume you are running the .key file directly in Radioss? Then the T01 should already contain time history data for the the contacts, including contact forces, however, if the contact has more than the 2 parts you are interested in, that wouldn't help you, and if the contact is surface to surface then the forces will cancel out and you will see zero. The input *CONTACT_FORCE_TRANSDUCER_PENALTY is supported for this specific usecase: and should result in you getting T01 data for your surf pair *CONTACT_FORCE_TRANSDUCER_PENALTY in help
