Problem by meshing Knee Modell Stl File by with SimLab
Hello everyone.
I got a problem with meshing a Knee Modell stl file.
Surface Mesh is running, but when i do tetramesh it get an error: Body 1 has overlapp edges.
I follow instructions like here: https://community.altair.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=98a6c47a1b2bd0908017dc61ec4bcb3c
but it doesn't work.
Have anyone of you an idea, what is to do? I also work with a Meshmixer tool to make the surface smoother, but it produce the same error.
Best regards,
Robin

Please use the mesh check INTERSECTION to find the errors in the mesh
They are just 3 or 4 problems. Like this one:
I suggest then just to delete the error elements. Select and delete.
Then, detect the holes (created by the deleting) with Free edges tool:
And fill them up, for example using Create Element Option:
Once Edge- and intersection Check gives no error you will be able to do your tet mesh. I did it for one of your examples: tetmesh is attached (as GDA to be imported into SL).

Hi Alessio,
thank you so much for your support.
I follow your instruction step by step for the trab file and find the errors with intersection and delete them. But the problem is that i cant find any edges after that, and the mesh will not be runnin. I cant see the elems inside the structure, so i cant create new one.
Do you have any idea of my problem?
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Robin

Now it works. I have reinstalled SimLab and it looks like it works. Thank you so much.
