Point a created summary in DPS to a different table

Can an existing summary on one table or join be pointed to a different table as long as all of the fields exist? I've tried selecting the current table to populate the source columns but it doesn't work.

The short answer is that what you are trying to do, should work.

If a summary is not available to select in the Summary dropdown list, it is usually an indication that the fields are not available in the underlying table.  I also tried what you are showing above and at first it appeared that it did not work.  Once I selected a different table to apply a summary to and then go back to the table I wanted, the dropdown list updated and I was able to select the modified summary.
