Why transforms a body after importing to Inspire into a surface?

Hello,

I have imported a assembly of 4 smaller assemblies (including 4 parts and some screws and other standard parts) from Creo 4 into Inspire. 3 of the parts are imported correctly, but the main part (ground plate) is suddenly transformed into a surface in the model tree (in the view it look's like a volume). All of the 4 parts are constructed in the same way, on the same system.

i tried the import with the original Creo .prt/.asm files and also with different export files like .stp, .iges, ..., but always the same part is after importing given as a surfce (see attached screenshot).

Can anybody help me in this case?

Best regards, Christophimage

this is probably related to some issue in geometry construction that is preventing Inspire to sucessfully import your body as a Solid.

Depending on what is wrong, you can use Geometry tools to correct the broken part, or at least identify what is causing the issue.

Once you open the tool, you can navigate through the issues with the 'arrows'.
