Assigning systems
When we want to apply load in any other direction apart from global we create local co-ordinate system and use it for applying load. But there is a option called assign system , So I'm not able to understand exact use case of it and how it effects if I apply load with assigning systems and without assigning systems Please elaborate in detail.

Hi Shiva,
Once you create the local co-ordinate system, you need to refer the node where you want to apply the loading by calling it in assign panel and call the system id in system field. Then click on "set reference" & "set displacement". In this way the load will be applied in local co-ordinate system. see the below images for old and new GUI.
Thanks

Hi rajashri,
If I have a free node ,which I will be using as origin to create a local co-ordinate system .Then what is the use of assigning it again. can you explain in more detail or share some documentation .
Thank you

And can you elaborate more on set reference and set displacement options as well.

Hi Shiva,
You are assigning the loading node(where you are applying force) to the co-ordinate system, not the origin node.
One more way is while applying load, you can do it in local co-ordinate system too. follow the below link for this.

Hope this clarifies your query.
