thanks for your feedback. As I state above, we haven't so far received such feedback because many of our users post-preocess their results either with HyperView or other commercial software supporting h3d format.
I've just looked at Paraview, and I saw it supported h5 format. Maybe this could be an alternate solution, and we propose a software called Altair Composed, dedicated to results reading, processing with advanced math, which can both read h3d and writes hdf5 format.

we recently released a script to read vtk in HyperMesh as we collected several feedbacks from users willing to extract forces from CFD analysis to map them to structural analysis:

However, we don't receive to my knowledge requests for writing h3d data to vtk. Could you please provide us some information about your use case?
