Pretension a 1D Bolt Through 3 Parts

Which beam should I apply pretension to in this long bolt that connects three parts? The bolt model is shown in the below image.

Hi Aidan,

From the picture it is not clear which is the bolt head and which is thread region. You need to check the CAD for that if you are modelling through 1D elements. Usually, we apply the pretension in bolt thread location.
