We have a permanent license purchased and it is giving an error and saying it has expired. (Unable to activate. Error #1184)

It also says it expired almost two months ago and we have been using it until this week.

    Hi Alberto,

You have a customer hosted legacy license, which means internal license expiry dates are your responsibility.

There are two important dates for a license.

1-expiry date. This is the date that PSIM will stop working. if you leased or subscribed this is the renewal date

2- check out date or license period. This is the date that a local activation of PSIM will access the server to refresh. This is similar to the return date of a library book. This prevents lost, stolen, ex-employees computers from sitting on your PSIM license as it will "auto return".

You need to speak with your internal license administrator to refresh your license activation. There is nothing we can do from the legacy license server.

I see that you also sent us an email. I will reply with your particular license details there, but this information is applicable broadly.

    Hi, Alberto,

Another possibility is that the license is not expired, but your serial number is expired.

The serial numbers are controlled by a PSIM license administrator in your company/university. Please contact him for such issues.
