Centrifugal load initialization in Radioss

Hello,

I would like to simulate a rotor dynamic (crankshaft + flywheel) in Radioss.

I use hex8 + rbe2 elements in this model.

I imposed the INITVEL AROUND AN AXIS to all nodes  of model and the IMPVEL to the center node of flywheel (by rbe2).

The kinematic solution is ok, but if I plot the reaction force on supports there is an initial transient of “high force” before to converge at the theoretical value of force (mass * cog radius * omega^2)

In the model I use the Ralyeigh damping with alpha and beta values in order to obtain the damping target on the first mode of system.

Is there a simple method in Radioss to initialize the centrifugal load on system (similar to INITVEL for kinematic condition)?

At the moment I use the Radioss2018 format version with Hypermesh 2017.3

Thank You

Vincenzo

What you are looking for is the /LOAD/CENTRI card input, it is available from version 2019 at least, but I'm not sure if it was there in 2018 (it was not there in 2017) this is the 2019 help entry for it:
