Hello,

I’m working on powder spreading in EDEM and have created an initial base layer, followed by generating a new set of particles on top to spread. I’ve attached an image below. How can I color code the particles to differentiate between the base layer and the newly generated particles? Is there a way to do this in EDEM? I already found a way to keep the base layer stationary and the top is dynamic. I just want a way to differentiate between them so I can get my results.

Thank you!

    Hi Jake,

You could either use coloring by residence time. Or use a manual selection to select the first layer and color it based on selection before the new layer is added on top. Hope that this helps.

    Kind regards

    Ignacio
