Hello,
In my arrangement i have plastic part and steel part it is button like press fit. please refer to the picture for the arrangement,
In this problem i need to find the insert force,
In my analysis result i could see interference and it is inserting even at lower force value.
please refer to screenshots
Thanks in advance,

Hello Pranav Hari,
Thanks for you reply I have solved this issue with TYPE 3 Contact i could see bending in teeth of plastic part. I have created only side contact between plastic part and steel part. After inserting plastic part is crossing the steel part
What contact should be defined between opposite face of Plastic and steel part
Thanks in Advance

Hi Teja
Type 3 interface is mainly used for shell plates initially in contact. If the two plates are modeled with a gap between the two meshes, try using interface TYPE70 -

Hi Teja
I am working on your model. You can also try these suggestions from your end
1. Increase the value of concentrated load so that the plastic component is pushed in
2. Type 3 seems ok for defining the interface between teeth and steel part (hole inner face). Provide a type 7 interface between the bottom face of the plastic component and the steel part so that it doesn't intersect through the steel plate

Hi @pranav Hari Thanks for your Reply
I think Material Card should be used for Plastic material (LAW 36 and LAW 65)
I have used material Card LAW 36 defined Young modulus, Poisson ratio, density and Stress n Strain Curve Any thing should I define please refer to screenshot.

Hi Teja
Can you try imposed displacement instead of concentrated load. You can measure the distance to which it has to go in and provide the same in the curve for imposed displacement.
You can use the properties of plastic as you mentioned above

Hello @Pranav Hari
The Main Objective of this analysis is to know the limiting load where Pressfit can happen
