Altair flux2d - Flux e-Machine Toolbox coupling error
I am trying to couple flux2d simulation with flux e-machine toolbox coupling for performance mapping simualtion. However after filling the form the coupling component is created successfully but upon opening in FEMT, the following error is shown as in Image: "REPRESENTED_PERIOD_MUST_CONTAIN_INTEGER_NUMBER_OF_STATOR_SEMI_PERIODICITIES"
I am simulating Outrunner motor with 52 poles and 48 slots in a 1/4 periodicity.
and this is the data that I filled while creating component:
_OM_PN = 52
I am also attaching the config file generated by the coupling.
Kindly help in resolving this issue.
Thanks.

Hello Piyush,
Can you create the coupling component again without assigning a value in "Repetition number"?
From the model, I see that the periodicity of rotor and stator are not different.
Have you created your model in FluxMotor? If yes, you can directly generate efficiency map in FluxMotor directly.
Thank you,
Lavanya

I tried it without repetition number, it still results in same error.
Yes I am aware i can generate efficiency map in fluxmotor but I wanted to do it through flux2d as I am doing thermal simulation in flux. Also, I don't see any options for thermal simulations in fluxmotor for outrunner motors.

Let me check with same configuration. I will get back to you.

Hello Piyush,
For this slot pole combination, FEMT is giving an error in periodicity. I will check with our team and get back to you.
As a work around, please generate the coupling component for full motor and then run the maps. It worked for me.
Thank you,
Lavanya

Thank you Lavanya for your help.
Also can you suggest any example or tutorial for steady state thermal simulation of outrunner motor in flux. I need some help with deciding boundary conditions.
