Orthotropic Materials Directions

Helo!

I'm modeling a prosthesis for 3D printing and I've used tretamesh and MAT9ORT as the material law. I've looked at everything that was on this forum regarding the orientation of 3D material and none of the few options applied to me. But I've noticed that, by default, OptiStruct is orienting all elements with PSOLID property in Y. So, I wanted to know if, also by default, material directions 1, 2 and 3 are, respectively, global X, Y and Z. That is, if my materials are oriented in a global Y and this is the fiber direction, the properties of this direction will be set in material direction 2 (E2, G2, etc).

Thanks!!

    Hi,

Material system for solids is defined by the CORDM field inside your PSOLID card.

Default is 0m which means global system is used for local X,Y,Z coordinates.

You can specify a different local system as well.
