Import problem

Can anybody help me with this? I think it might be a simple problem.

Sometimes when I import a geometry on OptiStruct, which is an assembly, the software does not recognize one of the parts as a solid. So, it is not possible to mesh it or to do anything else. The picture below shows an example of this, with the topology view.

You can create your solid from closed surfaces.

    Thank you.
But even so, I get the error "Volume Analysis: no solid selected. (no error highlighted) Meshing failed". And even when I delete the component and use the mesh created (^temp_2d_for_tetra) I can't run the analysis because the software does not recognize the elements. And because of that I can not create a contact surface either. Therefore, I get a lot of errors when running the analysis. Do you know what might be causing this problem in the when importing the geometry?
    Thanks a lot.

In case anyone has the same problem, I solved it by changing the file format. It was in IGS format and I changed to STEP and it worked.
