Powder Flow in spreading
Hi, so I am trying to do powder spreading in EDEM and I am not too sure why the powder is now flowing properly. In the attached image the particles are stagnant and not cascading down and flowing properly. I used the following parameters:
My contact models were : Hertz Mindlin Contact with JKR; standard rolling friction
I did try to lower the static friction in my simulations and change the contact models, but I am still not too sure what the issue is. Are there any suggestions to improve or correct this issue? Ideally I would like my simulation to flow like this:

Hi Jake
It seems like you have a lot of particles compared to the layer thickness. The video does not look completely unreasonable.
You can try increasing the gap between the bottom plate and the rake, or reducing the number of particles, or extending the plate length.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Thank you, I will try that and let you know how it progresses
