Create Joints in static Analysis

Hi everyone,

I have a structure that i want to analyse (static analysis) with joints (bushing joints in particular).

I was wondering if it is possible to use somethings like JOING (1) to create these types of joints and make static analysis anyway?

If not what are the possibilities to "liberate" dof in static analysis between two components? And if i need to use RBE2 elements with constraints do i need to specify them into SPC in static analysis?

THX everybody. Hope i've been clear. :)

I think you can use joint for linear as well. no problem.

There are a few ways of defining a free DOF in your model.

You could use joints, you could use BEAM elements releasing some DOFs, or you could also create a CBUSH element and define a '0' stiffness to some of your DOFs.

Concerning the SPCs we need to call them into the loadcase if you want to enable it.

    Ok thank's you Adriano.

Also have you got some references (tutorials, websites...) about this subject?
