Hello Everyone;
How can I create functionally graded material.
What solver are you talking about? OptiStruct? Radioss?
There's not a material pre-defined for FGM.
If you're using OptiStruct or Radioss you could use a composite model to create something similar to a FGM, where each layer/ply uses a different material property, according to your graded materials.
Would this fit your needs?
Thanks for reply. I want to do crash test of a FGM so it is for RADIOSS. As i know there is no crash test for composite material in RADIOSS. If I create my FDM model by using Abaques, can I import the FDM model with any error to HyperMesh or HyperCrash ?

Can you explain better? Radioss is fully capable of performing crash analysis with composites.
How do you model it in Abaqus? do you use some composite model?

I want to do a crash box and bumper beam crash analysis of FGM material. If it is possible use composite material to create FGM material, any toturial or any videos for dynamic analysis of composite material?
Do you have familiarrity with Radioss?
If not, i'd recommend starting from here.
There's an example model using multi-layered sandwich structures (for the windshield). I believe it is a good start.
it uses PROP 11 SH_SANDW
