Snap - Fit
Hello,
I am doing snap fit analysis for cap and bottle. In my case, cap is hinged at one end and after applying force on it, it snap fitted into bottle neck.
1. How to apply hinge to cap at particular point?
2. To move cap, do i need to apply moment or simply load alone?

For this model you can try this approach:
For the hinge, connect those nodes between the cap and bottle with springs with zero stiffness in the direction of movement.
At the point where you apply force create a node, and make the cap rigid and select this node as independent node. Finally apply the imposed displacement load on this independent node.
