Integration of Flutter Velocity Constraints in an structural Optimization process and Extraction of Aerodynamic Loads in OptiStruct 2023
Hello everyone,
I'm working on a structural optimization project that involves aeroelastic constraints, specifically focusing on flutter phenomena using OptiStruct 2023. After defining the Flutter loadsteps, I was wondering if there is a way to incorporate the flutter velocity directly as a constraint within the optimization process.
Additionally, I'm interested in knowing if there's a method to extract the aerodynamic loads used by the solver during the flutter analysis. These data are crucial for understanding the fluid-structure interaction, and I aim to integrate them as a load collector into the optimization process.
Thank you in advance for any information or advice on this matter!
Best regards

Ciao Francesco,
For the first part, i recommend you use HyperStudy as an optimizer (that runs optistruct and would extract the responses from the outside). Optistruct cannot use direcly flutter constraints for now.
