hello there,
I have a issue to activate my student license. I followed all the steps and downloaded the app but isn't appearing in my Program Files, can anybody tell me way and how can I find it and activate my license, please?
thank you
Hi Nicoleta,
(A) I am not sure I completely understand your issue, maybe Altair guys would.-:). Here is what I understand about the Steps to activate the student license key and my suggestion. ...See my attachment. Launch the CADFEKO, and start at '1', Utilities, then through 6.
You can delete the existing folder, as you can see, I installed my FEKO through my Desktop, so it is located in a hidden but accessible folder where you put the FEKO-installer before installation. (Picture below line)
if you delete the "licenses" folder, note, FEKO's license activation in (A) above would create the folder, and still name it as "licenses", and you would see, something like license activation successful.
Caution!!!....I am having an issue with my license key at the moment. I got my license last month and installed 2023.1, and everything was ok, but now 2024.1 is released, I removed V2023, and then installed feko v2024.1, but the license dat file is giving an error. Not activated now as I can not use my feko V2024.1. Tech supports are aware of my issue and I believe they are working on mine, so if your issue is related to mine, that is it or try steps (A) & (B) above. Goodluck I hope I helped

HI Dejo,
We have replaced feko student edition with the 2024 exe which will not show this error, please download and install 2024 from the altair one marketplace to avoid this error
This is probably due to the install location, when you install the app please choose the install location as C:/program files or similar in your machine to find the install location in program files,
If you choose a different install location, Altair folder will be in that location and not program files
