Hi,

we are currently starting with PollEx. We cannot find the tutorial *.sdbb files e.g.
C:\Temp\Altair-PollEx\Manufacture\BlockJIGGenerator\PollEx_New_Sample_Array.pdbb and also all the other stuff needed for the tutorials, except the Pdf's and Html's. According to our IT it was not part of the Installation Package. Where can we get these files?

Best regards, Peter

    Hello Peter,

I hve contacted our development team to check the location fo these files.

All depends on the version of PollEx you use.

If you use 2022.3 or newer  - you should get the files together with the installation package.

If you use an older version you need to download that from AltairOne.com, from Maketplace area. Just search for PollEx and under Download you should be able to find the missing files. See attached snapshoot.

Once downloaded place the files in C:\Temp\Altair-PollEx directory.

    Best Regards,

    Marek

    Hello Peter,

Marek from Altair Pollex tech team this side.

With one of our last releases we moved all our help pages to online. If you need a description on some functionality just hit F1 button and you'll be navigated to a specific webpage.

*.sdbb, *.pdbb and *.bdbb are our native Altair Pollex file formats. Respictively for: Schematic (sdbb), Layout (pdbb) and BOM (bdbb). The *.sdbb file may be opened by PollEx Logic tool. If you wish to open any other format from the market you may use PollEx Logic as well. Just open your schematic from the design tool you use and you'll be able to save that as *.sdbb format.

You are looking for a tutorial/guide on *.sdbb which is very general question. What would you like to know on this file format?

Hope the information provided is helpful. If not - feel free to get back to us.

    Hello Marek

thank you for your quick answer. The problem is not, that I want to explore the different formats. I just want to study the tutorials.  Each tutorial requires one or more files to open. The whole stuff mentioned there located under C:\Temp\Altair-PollEx\.... is not there, and of course C:\Temp\Altair-PollEx not either.

So where can I get the files required for running the Tutorials?

    Best regards, Peter

    Hi Marek,

    thank you, got them.

In our 2022.3 Version they were not present, according to out IT. I didn't find them in the Marketplace before, because under 2023 there are none, except "pollex ude tutorial models". In 2022 they are only visible if one clicks "show 44 more". Not easy to find, a hint in the Help would be helpful.

    Best regards,

    Peter
