Contract # in the middle of an Invoice
I have a report with a Contract # in the middle of the Invoice. The Detail option is already being used for the billing information. If I use Append to capture the Contract # only half of the results will receive the data the rest is NULL. if I use Header or Footer it is the same issue. How do I capture the Contract# for all line items?

Hi Nicole,
From what you’ve described I would create a second model and make the contract # the detail template, then I would combine the two models together using data prep studio.
Does that make sense? Would you like an example?
If you look at the templates we have in our Monarch App Library for “Invocies” you’ll see some prebuilt templates where we’ve done this.

Thanks so much. I will review the pre-built templates as we really only use the classic version of Monarch.

By the way, you should also consider getting formally certified in Monarch....

Is it possible to share a sample of the report or a screenshot showing the layout (with any sensitive info redacted)? Does the contract # appear in the same position relative to the detail? You may be able to use a multi-line sample.
Are you using Classic or Data Prep Studio? If using DPS, another option would be to use the append or footer and then use sorts and ditto's to fill in the missing values.
