hi friend,

I am trying to make a bottom crash analysis, but after radioss finished, I find that the spot didn't work, the components that should be weld together directly broke, I create it in 1D - connectors - spot , and I choose the spot type is type2 spring. could you help to figure out where is wrong? I attached the math as attachment.

thank you,

Heng Gao

You have failure displacements set on the welds of +/- 1.25mm so they are working as expected I think, if you don't want them to fail, you can remove the failure criteria, you hadn't included your engine file, so I guessed! With the one attached, you can see the welds unzipping as they reach the specified failure criteria
