I did a simulatiojn of a vibrating tank filled with spherical media with a piece emerging inside of the media bulk, the piece is carried by an arm, where the arm is linked to a support. When I change the location of the support (the arm stays in the same place in the same direction) the direction of the flow changes. does anyone have an idea why?

imagethe direction of rotation of the media without a piece emerged inside

    Hi Soraya,

Can you please describe the problem that you are facing more clearly?

looks like the problem statement is incomplete and does not mention what you are looking for as a solution and your current difficulty in the simulation

    Thanks,

    Prasad A

    Hi

    Thanks for replying

I’m simulating a vibrating tank (tribofinition), The first figure represents the flow direction of the abrasive media in the tank.

I added a testing tube, which is fixed to an arm and the arm fixed to a support, to see the effect of adding the testing tube on the abrasives's  flow.

The problem that appear and i don't understand why is, the direction flow of the abrasives changes when i change the placement of the support that is holding the testing tube (which doesn't occur in the experment test).

In the second figure, the flow direction is the same as the configuration without the testing tube (figure 1) (which is accurate with the experiments) but when i change the placement of the support like in the 3rd figure the flow direction changes.

Ps : I only changed the placement of the support but i maintained the arm and the testing tube in the same place and in the same direction inside the vibrating tank as shown in figure 2 and 3.
