How can I get the license work at Hyperworks Desktop 2021 (not Hyperworks 2021)?

Hello! 

I got a student license from my university. It is an activation key with which I now have the license in my license store (via altair connectme).

Due to the university we need to use Hyperworks Desktop 2021 and not Hyperworks 2021. 

When I open Hyperworks 2021 everything is fine and the license is working after activating it. 

But when I want to use Hyperworks Desktop 2021 the following error is shown: 

Altair License Manager: License error

Feature(s): GlobalZoneEU, HyperWorks, HWHyperMesh
Error Code: 9
Error Description:
Feature not found

License Path: C:/Program Files/Altair/2021-edu/hwdesktop/../security/altair_lic.dat

Altair Hosted HyperWorks Units: License error

Feature: HyperMesh
Error Code: -40
Error Description:
[LicID -1] (Err: -40) While checking out feature "GlobalZoneEU": Requested feature name was not found in licenses

And now my question is how I can i get rid of the error to use Hyperworks Desktop 2021?

Hi,

Please note that the student license will only work for the Edu version of HyperWorks.

Kindly uninstall HyperWorks v2021 from your system. Go to Altair One Marketplace - https://altairone.com/home and download the HyperWorks Edu version (kindly refer to the below image) available in the student edition bundle.

Also note that the process to activate a student license has recently changed. Kindly follow this video to access the student edition bundle on the Altair One marketplace and successfully activate the license using the activation key - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4_-4MZNF7Y.
