How can I change my license from .lic to .dat?

Hello, 

I have an student version of Hyperworks. Therefore I got an activation key. I made everything to activate the license as it is described at this page https://web.altair.com/altair-student-edition#license-activation

When I open Hyperworks I have to manually chose the license file. In my case this is a file called <my activation key>.lic

So it is a .lic - file. 

I think normally the file should be called altair_lic.dat (which is a .dat - file). 

When I click on activate, Hyperworks is working but all the other products which should also work with this license are not working. There I only get an error.

Can someone please help how I could get rid of this problem, so that I can also use the other products beside Hyperworks? Do I have to change the .lic-file to a .dat-file?

I already changed the name of the file but it does not change anything with the problem that I can't use the other Altair Products (only Hyperworks works).
