Help needed with Impact Simulation In Radioss
I have no prior experience in doing impact simulations. I have done some basic tutorials to familiarize myself with the software. I am interested in studying the impact response of recycled aluminum 6061 alloy. for the simulation setup, i have a square plate of the said recycled aluminum alloy being impacted by a steel bullet-shaped impactor at velocities ranging from 50 m/s potentially up to 500 m/s. I need help with the modeling.
What I want to extract from this simulation is the Force-Displacement Graph, Impact Resistance of the Plate, and accurate deformation simulation
what failure model should I use for this situation?
What properties will I need to perform this simulation?
