ERROR #716 in heat transfer analysis
Hi all,
I am trying to create a nonlinear transient heat transfer analysis (input file attached). Heat is applied on top plate and convection on the bottom plate. The EXCITEID field of the TLOAD1 card is pointing to SPCD load collector id13, which is linked to SPCD Weighted constraint id 1965 with all the nodes on top plate.
But for some reason, the solver gives ERROR 716: SPCD load 13 specified with no matching SPC data.
I tried to look through the relevant user guide, but can't really make sense of it: "The EXCITEID field of the TLOAD1 and TLOAD2 Bulk Data Entries should point to the ID of the SPCD Bulk Data Entry". Does this mean that the EXCITEID of my TLOAD1 should point directly to the SPCD id 1965 since that is the one in Bulk Data? But Hyperworks doesn't allow for that...
There could also be something else wrong with my model, since I am very new to Optistruct. I'm using Hyperworks window if that's relevant.

I updated the load collectors in the model by referencing this instruction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBgvah5vHhM
Now I'm getting ERROR # 1770: Heat GRID 2051 used with Component 123456 on card SPC 6.
What could be wrong with the model? I have tried to do some of the relevant Optistruct heat transfer demos like OS-E: 0610 Manifold to get some idea of how the load collectors work, but I'm getting different errors all the time even with the demo files... Could really use some reference!

SPCD needs to have an equivalent SPC 0 at the same grid for dynamic problems.
For thermal analysis the DOFs are different, and you should not use the regular 123456 dofs.
Leave it all blank and use the 'card edit' to set a '0' value for the tthermal dof.

Hi,
I tried to fix this, but now I'm getting INTERNAL PROGRAMMING ERROR in file "Message-ID-search", at location # 721.
