Importing geometry in hypermesh

When I am importing step assembly file into hyperworks, I am getting one component with all the child parts together. How I can import step assembly file, so that I can get separate child components in hyperworks.

    Your image doesn't appear to be from version 2021.2.  The "Split components by" option is grayed out in your image but that is how you would change how the components are getting created.  If you change "File type" to STEP instead of Auto Detect does it make the "Split components by" option active?
