Internal energy problem with file .sta and Implicit Radioss solver

Hello to all!!!

We are working on an impact analysis (drop test). The analysis is divided into two parts:

- The first part is carried out with the Explicit Radioss solver and the analysis ends with an internal energy of 3900 Joules. We have created a file .sta for the second part.

- The second part is carried out with an Implicit Radioss solver by importing the state of tension and deformation from the file .sta. In the graph of the energies at instant t = 0, the value of the internal energy corresponds to the final value of the first part. At the next instant the internal energy is lowered to 3200 Joules. Kinetic energy is always 0.

Our question is:
Why does the internal energy go from 3900 to 3200 Joules so fast?

thank you so much!!!

Attached the screenshots of the internal energy graph of the second part.imageimage

    Hi

It is quite difficult to say what can be causing this without knowing the details on the model construction and setup.

One suggestion to help is to  you to request /TH/PART so that you can investigating the phenomenon of energy level change on each part, and narrow down to the possible cause.

    I hope this is helpful
