SUPPLEMENTARY CONTACT STIFFNESS MATRIX

HI!!!

We are carrying out an analysis with implicit solver in Radioss. The model consists in a slow crushing of a crossbar on a tractor, the contact is modeled with the type 7.

The file.out  shows "supplementary contact stiffness matrix is created".

What does this sign mean? What does ND and NZ mean?

Is it possible to check this matrix?

THANK YOU!!!

Radioss Implicit is not so used anymore, except for a few cases. In general, OptiStruct is a better choice for implicit models.

Anyway, I would guess these ND and NZ are related to matrices size, such as nodes, dofs, etc.

But probably your question is not related to the meaning itself and something is not working so well in your model, I assume.

If you prefer, describe better your model and issues, and attach the .out files, so that others might assist you.

    HI!!!

    These are the files .out.

We know Radioss implicit is rarely used but we must use it.

    Thank you for your help!
