Invalid license - student version HyperWorks 2022

Hello, 

I have downloaded the student version on HyperWorks 2022 

I have followed all the steps for activating the license (set up environmental variable and placed the license in the security folder). I have also checked the IP in the license .dat file and it is correct.

Can you please help me?

I have attached my license file and I copy below the log file

    The file extension should be named: .dat

    By default, Windows does not always display file extensions like the “.dat” in this name.
    Make sure you do not add a second .dat to the name.
    One common error is the license file is named: dat.dat by mistake.
    You can turn on “View file name extensions” to verify the name is correct.

     

    The next most common error is that the host ID (Ethernet ID) used has a typo or was the wrong one.

    You need to confirm if the Ethernet address in the license file is the correct one and matches the one in your machine.

    When you open the license file in a text editor you will see an Ethernet address there in a line that says “ETHERNET =

    The Ethernet ID is the ID of your machine which is exactly 12 hexadecimal numbers. For example D4WRF478F398

    Run ipconfig/all in command window and check for physical address under Ethernet adapter local area connection

    The listed physical address under Ethernet adapter local area connection should be used to generate the license file, if there is no listing of Ethernet adapter local area connection, the address under Wireless Adapter LAN Wifi must be used.

    That means if the address provided as above does not match the one in the license file, please request for the license file again with the correct Ethernet ID here https://studentedition.altair.com/

    I have checked both the license file extension and the host id they are correct however the problem still persists. what are the next steps? should I request a new license?

    Please share the entire output of ipconfig/all (you can send it to altairuniversity@altair.com as well)

    I just replaced my PC motherboard and CPU. I'm no longer able to access hyperworks because of license error. Pasting image of my license.dat file below:

    The Ethernet ID has changed. See below image

    Is this why i am facing license issue? What is the fix? Should i apply again for the licence? Please help

    Hi,

    Since you changed the motherboard, the MAC address of your computer has changed, and that's why you will need to apply for the license again.
