press fit simulation of 2D Stator model in Optistruct
Hi all, im try to do Press Fit Simulation due to housing on 2D Stator in Optistruct. i imported Stator.STEP from my Flux Fictional Model. I have seen on simmilar Questions PFA sample deck for Optistruct solver on pressfit simulation. but i could not download it anymore. can anyone help me out how to do this?
i have questions for this simulations.
1. when i do Press fit Simulation, should i need to have other Geometry for housing?
2. can i just give a distributed load on outside face edge of stator geometry so that it can be same effect of press fit?

if you assume that the other side is much stiffer that the stator, then you could apply an enforced displacement to the outer face, maybe.
But if you really need more accuracy, I'd add the counter-part to consider its stiffness.
