Hi,

For PCOMPP stack lamianted composite modeling.

I am wondering if I have two PLYS that are seperated under the LAM_1 but identical in fiber orientation.

During the model computation is it consider continous region between the element at this boundary or it acutally have some sort of a break in between these PLYS.

Thanks, Jerome.

    Hi Jerome,

If the nodes in the mesh are equivalenced and the ply shapes are different but they line up and no elements are excluded on the boundary, it would still be connected.  The thickness of the laminate at those locations will depend on the total thickness of the plies for all of those elements in the sets.

    Thanks!
