VR walk around

Hi guys,

Just wondering if there's any way to use Inspire Studio to create a VR render?

I'd like to be able to import a model of a car, create a render scene, then be able to walk around the car virtually using a VR headset.

Any ideas would be great!

Well, you chose a very interesting task, I don’t think that someone will help you here

I was looking for a way to create a VR simulation animation.

I ended using Inspire Studio to export each H3D animation frame separately in .obj format (one by one, because there was no way to export an animation in e.g. .3ds format, or export all frames automatically...)
Then I used these separate .obj frames to merge them into an animation in Blender ( as all had the same vertex number I could define them as shape keys of one object and then build animation from key frames).
Then I moved it (as .fbx file) to Unity game engine to create a 3D prefab with animation and then moved it into VR app.

I cannot say it was straightforward (much additional work required to fix the models e.g. flipping faces normals to have them rendered in the right way). And Altair Inspire studio was used only to export seperate animation frame in very uncomfortable way.

Depending what you actually need to do I would suggest to consider other software.

PS: And if you were interested in keeping the contour plots from simulation as texture in exported .obj - let just say that I was not able to even load them into Inspire Studio... Maybe someone reading know it's possible and want to share a way do to it?
