Student Edition Limitations

Dear all,

I want to prepare a model for calculations in Ansys using Hypermesh 14 (latest student edition). It says, other solvers than Optistruct, Radios etc. are not supported in the student version. But maybe I can prepare the model in Hypermesh (student edition) and then export it on a machine at my chair using a unlimited license. I have to do the modelling at a seperate machine because of shortage of machines at my chair...

Yes, you can create the model in the Opstistruct user profile > save the model > open it in the unlimited version > use tools > convert > optistruct to ansys.

However we recommend you solve the model in Optistruct, please tell us the analysis type and we can guide you in using OptiStruct / RADIOSS for your analysis.

I have the similar problem!

So can I prepare the model in student edition with Optistruct and then open the same model in other computer with unlimited edition with NASTRAN?

Will there be any kind of errors in the model I have prepared?
