Can't open FEKO Student Edition 14.0

The installation works correctly, I've tried running as administrator, reinstalling, uninstalling, rebooting, running with and without the license file. The program loads for a moment and them the process just dies, sometimes windows says there was an error, others it just fails. It does install the program and I can open the help files and license manager, but the programs themselves, FEKO, POSTFEKO and CADFEKO don't open.

This is a windows 7 64bit PC with 32Gb of ram. What could be causing this, and how to fix it?

Any help is highly appreciated!

Do you see a license error ? has the software been activated with a standalone license or a variable if you have a license server?

I already followed the post, I don't see any errors from the software. It's a standalone node locked license. I checked the mac address in the file and it matches the one i see in the command line,the program from the licensing page and the altair license utility.

The license is in 'C:\Program Files\Altair\14.0-edu\security' and is called 'altair_lic.dat', not 'altair_lic.dat.dat'. I even tried setting an enviroment variable called 'ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH' set to 'C:\Program Files\Altair\14.0-edu\security\altair_lic.dat', but it still won't open.

Am I doing something wrong?

Please check the checksums and compare with the values in the website to ensure the file was not corrupted on download

In order to verify the integrity of the software executable after download please do a checksum following the procedure below

1. Download MD5 checksum freeware from the web (please note we are not responsible for any effects of external software)

2. Double click / run the Winmd5 checksum executable

3. Select the executable by clicking on the browse button or drag and drop the file into the window

4. Download the original md5 checksum value from the HyperWorks website for the version in question at the link below

5. Paste the original value of the md5 checksum in the gui tool and click on verify

I have made a md5 checksum and it is correct. It is AD966136A0C667C5C77EF8ED14D8B02F wich is the code of the feko 14 edu installer.

Sometimes it is possible that the firewall (or anti-virus) prevents some programs from launching

please turn off the firewall and then start CADFEKO. If it works, then we know what is the problem and you will then need to add an exception for FEKO under the firewall settings.

clementep, Did you solve this problem. I have exactly same problem and i tried all of solutions here but doenst work.
