H3D files combine

I have some older MSC Marc results files, obtained from a run with multiprocessor option.

MSC Marc, in this case creates separate results files (*.t16) for each processor, and a very small 'overall' *.t16 file.

HyperView can read each file separately but not the complete model. I can use the Overlay option and get the whole model, but I cannot view the results on the whole model, just on chunks of model, each corresponding to each processor results file.

I was able to export H3D files for each chunk, but I'm still not able to combine them to plot results on the whole model.

The other option would be to rebuild the whole model and redo analysis in current solver, but if there is an option to get to combine somehow the model 'chunks' this would save me some time.

If anybody has tip or macro that allows to combine H3D files (or Marc results files) and post-process the results I would appreciate a bit of help.

Sincerely.

    Bogdan,

You might have to re run the jobs again on a single processor as HV does not support multi thread result files obtained from MARC.

I dont believe there is a way to combine H3D files too. Sorry.

    Salut,

I have been able to solve, at least partially the problem, by reading the model from a different file and then use the Linear superposition option with opening all results files one at a time.

The drawback, you can do this only for one time increment at a time.

At least we can postprocess the results without running again the whole problem.

    Sincerely.
