Dear Users and Administrators,

I am writing because I have difficulties with running a HyperCrash analysis. I have prepared most of the tutorials, and all of them ran on my computer. Now I am trying to run a really simple analysis, but Radioss stops with different error id-s at the same time: 61, 59, 194. The error message is: '** ERROR IN PROPERTY/ELEMENT DEFINITION (NUMBER) DESCRIPTION :  INVALID PROPERTY ID=0,'

I set all the properties the same as the tutorials. Could you please help me where to look for the error?

Thanks a lot!

    Hi Sanyo,

Looks like one of the components/parts has a missing property,

Please check whether you have assigned properties to components/parts.

    Hi Prakash,

    Thank you for your answer.

I have checked, and re-assigned both the properties and the materials to the component, as these were described in the tutorials. Unfortunately the same errors occur.

    Sanyo,

what property and material law are you using?

can you please check if the material and property assigned are compatible with each other with element type?

if they are compatible, we may need your model file and .out file. Please use the dropbox below shown in the signature to share the files.

I think, they are compatible, since finally I am using the same as the tutorial. I have uploaded my files. Thanks

    Hi Sanyo,

Card edit the component and assign PART as card image.

Also, re-assign property and material to the component.

    this should work,.

Thank you, some why the normal assignment didn't work. With list selection and then RC-change material helped, and now the analysis runs.

    Sanyo,

When I saw your model I noticed that the components were without PART card image.

anyways, good to know that your model is up and running image/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

    Dear Prakash,

I need to write you again, because I don't understand some things:

The problem is appeared again, but now I realized, that the problem is at exporting the radioss file. In hypercrash When I check the models, they have the materials and the properties assigned. After exportation these properties disappear, so when I reimport the previously exported model, the parts don't have their materials and properties. Could you help me how to solve this?

On the other hand, I am not sure how to assign the PART card image to the components. This would maybe solve my problem, so could you describe how to do that (maybe some help location, because I couldn't find it).

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Sanyo,

While exporting please make sure that you have selected ALL under export options (by default it may have Custom or Displayed).

To assign PART as card image, right click on component in model browser and select EDIT. This opens a EDIT component pop up window. Under Card Image select PART and click Update.

Yes, now this works fine image/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'> Is it possible to set it default to export all options?

Next difficulty image/emoticons/default_mellow.png' alt=''> is that the restart file is missing and I can't find where to set it to be written. Could you help me where to do that?

    Thanks

    Hi Sanyo,

By default the export option is set to custom and even though it is set to custom HyperMesh should export all entities unless any entity(s) is unchecked through select entities.

Regarding restart, is that an error or warning?

The export problem is when exporting from HyperCrash, not from HyperMesh.

    The message:

.. ERROR ==> NO RESTART FILE

         ERROR TERMINATION

You can check in Export settings. context menu (right mouse button) and select Export Selection.

can you share the complete out file?

have you defined any sensors in your model?

I can see an Accelerometer defined in your model. Can you please check and update the node of the same?

    Dear Prakash,

I believe i have a similar problem to sanyo55. I have created an analysis in HyperCrash similar to a tutorial, but with my geometry. Out file gives errors 59 and 61 (missing property and material), although I have assigned and checked them. Another difference is that the part has a question mark beside it in a tree instead of blue part icon (I have attached the image), and I haven't found exact meaning of it. I have checked elements types in hypermesh and they were shell3n and shell4n.

I have tried using List selection and changing property and material, it didn't help.

I have sent you the radioss file. I would be grateful if you could tell me what is the problem with my geometry, what does the question mark beside the part means and why I couldn't assign property and material.

    Thank you.

    Dear Prakash.

Thank you for the modified file. Now the calculation runs without errors only with warnings №312 and 446.

Hypercrash now sees the part normally, without question mark. Please, tell me what the problem was, and how to solve it?

    Hi Georgy,

This is because the model has two boundary condition incompatibility conditions. One in X (rigid wall velocity) and one in Z(imposed velocity)

If you un-check Tx, Tz, Rx and Rz in boundary conditions you may not see the warning.

    Dear Prakash,

What modifications have you done to my file to solve errors 59 and 61 and to remove question mark from the part icon? And what caused them?

    Hi Georgy

A question mark on you Part icon, means that there is no *PART keyword defined for your elements (Unresolved part), if you edit your original deck and search for *PART you shouldn't be able to find it.

    HI Georgy,

As Kevin posted, the component had a missing part card image.

it could be because, the component was assigned a card image in HC but not saved the changes.

    Hi,

HyperCrash supports RADIOSS and LS Dyna user profiles. You can perform model checker for these user profiles in HyperCrash,

Here is a video tutorial on the same: http://www.altairuniversity.com/learning-library/2017-winter-directed-learning-webinar-series-crash-analysis-with-radioss/

    Hi beloved members,

I'm still new here, and i just started using HyperCrash, and i'm trying the bumper crash analysis tutorial, but it fails to run the simulation for there's too many errors. Can somebody help me with this? I have no idea on how to read and solve the errors. Your help is much appreciated.

    Thank you.
