Hallo Group

I am new to NVH simulation.

I have a component tested for vibration.  the test involved measuring Frequency response function Mobility FRF on 6 points on the modell. So I have plots of FRF values at Six points on the modell. Using this I want to calibrate My FEM model (with optistruct/hyperstudy). What are techniques to callibrate such modell. I have come across Modal assurance criterion (MAC) and Model updating technique. can you enlighten me about such method. Do Altair has inbuilt software providing such capabilities.

    Hi Pratik,

     

    Using Hyperview,we compute Modal Assurance Criteria of experimental mode. 

    Starting from Hyperworks 13.0 version we have implemented many capability to the existing MAC utility and is now complete.

    Attached document should help you in explaining the usage of this utility in detail.

    Does Hyperwork also provide tool for correlation with Frequency Response  Assurance Criterion (FRAC) or Frequency Domain Assurance criterion (FDAC)

    Hi,

    Currently we support model correlation in HV using MAC. Once it is available or any plan we hear about development we will let you know.

    Hi,

    To use the HyperView NVH utilities, you must first load the NVH preferences file:

    1.From the File menu, select Load > Preference File. The Preferences dialog is displayed.

    2.From the Preferences dialog, select NVH-Utilities and click Load. The NVH menu is added and displayed on the menu bar.

    I have difficulty understanding the user guide.

     

    what file are expected under

     

    Referance file and corelation file under MAC- tab. (Load)

     

    According to my understanding

    Referance file is the file containing my FRF values from experimental test at particular point, it can be odb or CSV.

    Correlation file is my hd3 filr from FEM simulation that i want to co relate

     

    so what does transformation is used for?
