Hey

I am simulating a bumper beam with radioss,

but when calculating, the time starts to increase and after a while occurs this message:

WARNING INTERFACE          3
 NODE    1535259 DE-ACTIVATED FROM INTERFACE

and then:

MESSAGE ID :          205

** RUN KILLED : ENERGY ERROR LIMIT REACHED

I tried to different element formulations, set inacti to 6. (there are no global penetrations)

changed the material, changed the elementlength etc.

How can I avoid this message?

    HI,

What is the interface type you are using?

Can you increase the minimum gap in the interface?

    I'am using Interface type 7.

My shellthickness is 2mm so I used 1mm for Minimum gap.

When I use for example 2mm

    this warning occurs:

    ** WARNING IN INTERFACE GAP
    DESCRIPTION :
       -- INTERFACE ID : 3
-- INTERFACE TITLE : all vs all
       MAXIMUM VARIABLE GAP=2.000000000000
HOWEVER GAP IS RECOMMENDED TO BE LESS THAN 1.752438733029
      POSSIBLE IMPACT NUMBER:        1426  (<=           1 *NSN)

    Hi,

Warning due to interface gap is because of the GAP defined in the type 7 keyword. Attached document should give you more information on this.

    Regards

    Hi Ravin,

Try changing your normal direction for plate and  the rigid body thickness 10e-14 is too low.

Also check the material properties and velocity of impact for high energy error
