    Hi Rahul,

     

    You can use LAW12, LAW14 , LAW 25 with /PROP/SOL_ORTHO for 3D elements.

    how can i see fibre & matrix failures in composite laminates?

    when i done impact analysis, the failed elements are getting deleted.

    and it is showing the message like ' Rupture of elements 2654'?

    The problem is coming from posions Ratio between 3 and 1. Can you check whether the poison's ratio you have given is for 3 and 1 and not 1 and 3 (Nu31 not Nu13)?

    Hi Rahul,

     

    So I checked with experts about failure index and this is what they suggest:

     

    Yes, you have also to export the full stress tensor in all plys.

    Then you can recalculate, in the result-math-builder (in hv), the necessary failure criteria, based on what-ever model.

     

    For /FAIL/HASHIN/ you will get them in the damage value using ANIM/BRICK/DAMA#
