hello, i am doing crash analysis on a ford Taurus vehicle model and i couldnot export the file. it kept on saying 'please, reduce the number of nodes to below 10000'. what should i do? thank you.
Hi,
Unfortunately, the current HyperCrash student edition support only 10000 nodes.
thank you for replying,
but what should i do to perform the analysis please can i do the same analysis in a hyper mesh?
is there any way i can have an access to other student edition version?
thank you
@Abeba Tsegay
yes, you can use HyperMesh for pre-processing Taurus model.
can you please provide me with any teutorials or webinars in how to analyze vehicle crash in hyper mesh ?
Please check this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjErJVigVJU&list=PL1u26y75SCrA_BOCLaSewVCNY7xRvCTnA
thank you i will check them out , and is there any way i can get another version that supports full hyper crash analysis with student edition or to be purchased?
No HyperCrash student Edition comes with node limitations of 10K.
In order to use HyperCrash without any limitations, you should have a license which needs to be purchased. You can contact your local Support for more information:

hello Prakash, i am having a problem in assigning velocity and loads in hyper mesh optistruct, hear let me explain it clearlly
i am designing a composite b pillar in order to study the side crash on a composite b pillar, there fore i already created the comp pillar and replaced the existing pillar on the model (ford taurus) ,
the problem is i want to perform a crash analysis on the vehicle using the hyper mesh optistruct and i want to know how to apply velocity and boundary conditions for the vehicle, can you please help?
thank you.

Hi @Abeba Tsegay
For explicit analysis like the crash, impact, drop, etc... please use RADIOSS.
OptiStruct may not suit your simulation
dear Prakash Pagadala|,
i want to purchase the hyper works package i want to know how to purchase. please help
thank you in advance
I will share your details to the concern team and they will get in touch with you.
okey i will be waiting, thank you
i just to tell you that my thesis is on hold please do your best and recommend them to contact me as soon as possible, thank you again
Hi Abeba, the account manager for your region has been informed,
HyperCrash is part of the student edition, and you can start it from applications as in the image below,
Hello Rahul,
I did find it and i was doing analysis on it but it cannot support any analysis that is more than 10000 no of elements it cannot support a full car crash analysis that is why i wanted to purchase the full hyper crash, what do you recommend me to do.
If your think your model can be leas than 100K nodes, you can use HyperMesh to model for crash and run the same using RADIOSS.
i did try that to but it is more than that or are any finite element models of a vehicle that have less node no, the models that i have is ford taures and it is more than 100k
can you provide me with FE models that have less than 100k node no?
attached is the Chevrolet C2500 Pickup, Reduced model (10,500 elements), which I converted from LS-Dyna to Radioss using Hypercrash.
NOTICE: While using these FE Models, please use the following Courtesy Notice: 'This model has been developed by The National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC) of The George Washington University under a contract with the FHWA and NHTSA of the US DOT'
Please note there are no general claims to the validity and accuracy of the model by the NCAC or the US DOT. These models are developed for research purposes as documented in the associated reports for each model.

hello dears,
Do you happen to have any automobile models? since my objective is to use medium weight automobiles for the crash test, can you convert any automobile in to Radioss file for me just with less than 10000 or 100k nodes . I really appreciate all the effort you are putting in to supporting me.
Best regards
Unfortunately, there are no mid-size cars bellow 100k nodes. But you can remesh the models with coarse mesh to stay bellow the limit.
Attached is the reduced Chrysler Neon model (from Altair university model repository, originally from NCAC/GWU databse)

i am only going to focus on the b pillars and surrounding, i am okey with coarse mesh for the rest parts of the vehicle, do i have to re mesh every part of the vehicle to reduce the nodes ?
This strategy is OK, however, you may find challenging to remesh to the 100.000 node limit.
I will try to provide the reduced Taurus model.
@Ivan Yes, but for immediate use, it is the only option /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20'>
@Prakash Pagadala agreed /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
@Abeba Tsegay attached is the reduced Taurus model from NCAC/GWU database.
thank you so much guys this is amazing, am really great full, i will keep in touch for further help.
Hello guys,
How do you create side impact pole on hyper mesh, i was doing it by creating pole type rigid wall but it kept intercecting withe car so would you please help?
Thank you
in addition to that how dummy positioning works also, if you have ant tutorials please,
