Mass scaling

Good afternoon All,

 

Could someone help me understand how to safely change a model to Mass scaling with min increase in mass.  /DT

I have a couple of elements that are not a concern in the run and I would like to increase my time step without effecting the results.

Maybe keeping ERR=  <2%

Hi,

 

there is an Engine-Keyword /DT/NODA/CST, that you can use to scale the timestep and to force a minimum timestep for your calculation. You will have to adjust the value for minimum timestep a little to hit the desired error of 2%.
