Topology optimization with buckling response

Hi,

I need your help to solve a problem of topology optimization with buckling constraint.

I have a design space, I created a 'static displacement' constraint on a node (with a 'static' loadstep) and as objective 'minimize volume'.

Now I have to add a buckling constraint. Following tutorials I created a 'buckload' load collector, with card image EIGRL, set as following:

V1 -> 0.000

ND -> 2

and a 'buckling' loadstep, type linear buckling, with following setting:

SPC

METHOD(STRUCT) -> load collector 'buckload'

STATSUB(BUCKLING) -> loadstep 'static'

Then I created a buckling response and finally a buckling constraint, with a lower limit of 30.

But when I start the optimization it says:

 *** ERROR # 1813 ***
Buckling responses can only be used for free-sizing or topology optimization of shells with non-zero T0, composites with non-zero DOPTPRM TMINPLY or minimum LAMTHK/PLYTHK, or when the design properties are excluded from buckling analysis through the EXCLUDE command.

I attach my *.hm file in the zip archive if somebody wants to have a look...

Thanks for your help and best regards,
Daniel

    Hi Paino101989,

    Buckling optimization is not available for solid elements for now. This may be available in future image/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
