I am trying to run a topology optimization and at a certain point of the optimization I get the following error:
Error #3423 : MUMPS solver encountered error with code -90.
Does anyone know what this means and how it can be fixed? Thanks!

Yes, I am trying to run a quasi-static non-linear optimization with contact. I am using version 2017.

Can you update to 2017.1 and check if this helps?
If not, please share the .out file.
It is difficult to figure out what triggered the problem as it is related to MMUPS solvers. It could be modelling issue or due to usage of out of core memory etc...
I would suggest to contact your local Altair support for a quicker help on the same.

Are you using Student Edition or full edition?
