Hi... I'm Jessica. I try to do simulation in hypercrash for my part, but I found that 'RADIOSS' is needed to simulate. I don't hav the file in my computer. What can I do about this?

Please have a look on it. Thank you very much!

Kind Regards

From Jessica.

    Hi Jessica,

HyperCrash is a pre-processing tool developed to support RADIOSS. You can export the file(File>Export>RADIOSS) from HyperCrash and import the same in HyperMesh (choose RADIOSS as user profile) and can run the simulation (Analysis>RADIOSS).

    Hi George,

Material, property, load case are create in hypercrash. If I export to hypermesh, the info that has been set before will remain?

    Hi Jessica,

All the load set up created in HyperCrash will remain. Please don't forget to choose RADIOSS as the user profile in HyperMesh.

After i run the simulation (Analysis>RADIOSS), I get the summary as shown in the picture above. But, there are not result for me to refer. The result that show the stress on the node of part. How can I get the result?

    Hi Jesscia,

These are errors listed by the RADIOSS in the modelling. You have to rectify these in order to complete the run successfully.

Please check the boundary condition defined in the model. It seems like nodes were not selected for defining the boundary condition. Please recreate the boundary condition.

For gravity load created a function is required which is missing in this case.

I recommend you to go through the tutorial (Cell Phone Drop Test) attached along where these loading cases are defined.

Also, please go through the RADIOSS learning video series which covers the theoretical aspects of RADIOSS and examples are also shown. You can access them at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8oexuwbw28

Hi, George. Is it the control card is compulsory for simulation?

    Hi Jessica,

Control cards are required in order to create the engine file for running the RADIOSS model files. The Engine file contains the run controls (e.g. termination time, output requests...etc).

    Hi..George,

May I ask why not thing in the result type?

    Hi Jessica,

Can you please share the file(_0000.rad and _0001.rad files)?.

    Hi George,

    Sure, thank you very much!

The 123_0000.rad and 123_0001.rad are the file that I export from the HyperMesh, but it just done for tetrameshing only.

This two file is used to import into the HyperCrash. Material, property, rigid body, boundary condition, gravity load and initial velocity are done in HyperCrash. The file export out from HyperCrash are be456_0000.M00 and be456_0000.rad.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Jessica,

The model runs fine for me. Ensure that the result file is complete that is the run is not stopped in the middle. As a workaround, please try once again with the model file attached.

If the problem persist I recommend you to download the latest HyperWorks version, HyperWorks 2017, and try running the simulation.

    Hi, George,

The figure below shows the simulation from HyperMesh desktop. I am trying to run with the RADIOSS from start window and it is still running. It looks like near to success. May I know what George has been edited for the file I given to George? You help me a lot! Thank you very much.

    Hi Jessica,

The components were updated with the materials and property cards. Rest everything was fine in the model.

Please update the progress of the run.

I recommend you to go through our webinar series on RADIOSS training at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjErJVigVJU&list=PL1u26y75SCrA_BOCLaSewVCNY7xRvCTnA

Many aspects of modelling ans analysis in RADIOSS interface is explained here with examples.

Also, download our free ebook on RADIOSS from http://www.altairuniversity.com/free-ebooks-2/free-ebook-crash-analysis-with-radioss-a-study-guide/ which will be always a good reference for you.
