    Hi Ramakiran,

In RADIOSS modal analysis is supported only for single component level. Multi component models with contacts, joints...etc is not supported in RADIOSS.

You can try the same with OptiStruct.

Thank you sir, but i was modeling full vehicle for crash from scratch so i'm trying to give connections and everything so i need to check my connections integrity by doing modal analysis but if i covert to optistruct and again converting to radioss is not desirable i guess. Please help me with this.

    Hi Ramakiran,

You have to convert the model to OptiStruct and run the modal analysis in OptiStruct. Complex models involving contacts, connections, joint...etc  is not supported in RADIOSS for modal analysis.

Is a good habit to perform a modal analysis for connection check? Please suggest me some methods to check my connection in a large assembly consist of connectors, contact, and node merge and equivalence ?

    Hi,

As mentioned before modal analysis in RADIOSS is not supported for multi component models with contacts, connectors...etc.

You can check the connectivity of the parts in a model using Quality > Check Connectivity of Tree Selection option in HyperCrash. A document on the same is attached for your reference.

The simplest approach is to go to mask panel (F5), select an element and from the extended menu option select by attached and mask. All the elements properly attached to the selected element will be masked.

But by masking option it will not tell how well it is connected.i.e. it will mask even two component is connected by single element.

    Hi,

Yes, even if it is connected by an element it will show connectivity.
You can try with Check Connectivity option in HyperCrash.
