Fatigue analysis on composites
Hi,
is it possible to set up a fatigue analysis on composite materials (orthotropic) using optistruct?
I followed the instructions in the tutorial for fatigue (the control arm) but it refers to an aluminum component, how can I deal with composite materials?

I think it is not possible to carry a fatigue analysis with composite material using OptiStruct.

In Radioss we have XFEM approach which is limited to composites.May be you should explore Altair partner product for same.
Will update once we have such feature in future version.

Any update on this issue? Is it possible to do fatigue analysis of composite in Hyperworks? If not is there any partner program that can handle this?

Thanks Ivan, Did you used nCode Design life for composite fatigue analysis? Is there any tutorial or guidelines for performing fatigue analysis of composite parts?

I have not yet used nCode Design life so I'm unable to give practical tips. I suggest you search for tutorials or guidelines on nCode site and literature.
