Rigid Wall question

In an impact simulation, when we use a moving rigid wall with a velocity, does the mass of rigid wall affect your results?

I saw in a rupture plate ball example that we should use a non zero mass for the R wall to avoid the 99% energy error so the example used 5g mass.
If they used say 500 kg mass or 1 g mass , will the stress results differ?

Hi,

if the rigid wall is not moving, then no significant change can be seen in results as you change the mass.

but when the rigid wall is moving, this will definitely changes the mass, energy transfer, etc.. during the impact
